We
also offer a Rising 5’s session on Friday afternoons after the
Easter holidays, which is the term prior to your child leaving to move
onto Primary School. This session is
held at Birchwood Primary School and is open to all children starting
at Birchwood in
the following September. This allows the children to meet the teachers
and see classrooms so it is not such a scary new place to go after a
long break. The sessions running on the other afternoons are open to
all the older children, irrespective of which school they will be
attending, and are held in
our normal St Michael’s premises.
Each session has
at least two staff on duty, including a registered Play leader, plus a
parent helper wherever possible. Our staff hold a range of qualifications and a member of
staff at each session will hold a recognised First Aid and Food Hygiene
Certificate.
