Autumn Term Detail:

The Autumn term will be dealing with the theme of All About Me.  More details will be available nearer the start of term.  We currently have a whole pre-school trip to Jimmy's Farm planned for September, details of which will be given out at the start of term.

We recently sent off our Tesco and Sainsbury vouchers and were able to order 15 - 20 items of teaching aids and play equipment, so thank you very much for all your contributions! Also, please have a look at Julie's book box as there is a good variety of books there, and they enable us to buy games, books and toys for the children - at only £1 each they're a bargain.  We have already bought a Music CD and some puzzles from the proceeds!

If you have any t-shirts or sweatshirts in good condition that your child has grown out of, or if your child is left in July, please bring them into us as we are wishing to set up a secondhand uniform box to raise funds for buying more things for the children.  These will be available to buy at a reduced rate once supplies have been received.

We would like photos of the children in cars, trains or on bikes etc., or in tents or playing in the garden or on holiday for our ‘Show and Tell’ Board. Please write your name on the back of the photo so it can be returned.

Appeal for all Dads and Grandads to come and help as parent helpers. Pre-School can be very female dominated and it is especially important for boys and girls to have positive male role models.

Our Graduation Ceremony was on Monday 7 July, and it went really well.  All the children wore a mortarboard that they made themselves, and were presented with a certificate 'scroll' by Mr Stoke from Birchwood Primary School, and a book from the Pre-School.  The children and their carers and parents were all then treated to scones, strawberries and drinks of their choice.  The weather unfortunately wasn't kind so we stayed in the Church Hall next to the Pre-School, but it didn't dampen the fun!  Well done to everyone who attended, and we wish them well on their next journey.

For the children staying on, and for new beginners, we usually have good weather into September, so please still remember those sunhats, with names please, and apply sun-cream to your child beforehand.  Please do not send children in flip-flops or similar as they cannot run, jump or climb safely and are therefore asking for tumbles and tears!
